Most people these days are familiar with using showers or wet rooms; the days are long gone when a bath was supplied as a standard fitting in a bathroom.
Wet rooms are specialist rooms and as such their walls will require ‘tanking’. This operation means water will be unable to penetrate through the walls. The tanking is carried out prior to tiling. Knowing how to adjust the floor joists and insert the drain run whilst keeping a low profile floor is an art.
If the wet room has stud walls, normal plasterboard cannot be used behind the tiles as it is permeable and will expand and contract ultimately making the grouting crack. Artemis will only use the recommended product, a waterproof board which retains its shape.
Mosaic tiles can be used for the wet room floor – these follow the contour of the wet room base and tend to naturally form a non slip finish.
Bathroom designs will be produced in 3D picture format once the fittings have been chosen from our trade supplier. All reputable manufacturers are used and their products supplied.
